The year-round holiday development will be located in the Rhodope Mountains, in south-western Bulgaria.Sports and Tourism Centre Perelik is a joint venture of private investors and the Smolyan Municipality. Advisor for the project is Alfa Finance Holding. In May, the joint venture received a First Class Investment certificate, which entitles the project to infrastructure funding from local and state government. The project, designed with nature preservation in mind, envisions infrastructural improvements in the Smolyan region. There are also plans for the constructions of ski runs with a total length of 200 km and 100 km of ski lifts. There will be summer sports facilities as well.
